Let’s celebrate the launch of a new color combo of the Nike Free x Metcon 2 in Valerian Blue/Photon Dust/Black/Vivid Purple. This is a women’s variation of this great cross trainer. Why do we love the Free x Metcon 2? That’s what we’ll talk about here – while we show you the great looks of this new shoe. The Nike Free x Metcon 2 is good for boot camps and strength training. Why is that? It’s a crossover between the Metcon line and the Free running line from Nike. You get a great midsole and outsole for running. The “Free” line is meant to better replicate the bare foot running experience. And it does that by providing a lightweight, cushioned sole – but not with too much cushion – as your bare foot running isn’t like running on a pillow! Here’s the “outsole” – or more simply – the sole. See those hexagonal (6-sided) foam blocks? Those mean that the sole can flex along it’s width AND length. Just like your foot will do while running. Nike has released new colorways of the Nike React Metcon for January 2020. Let’s take a close look. There are unique styles for both Men and Women. Pricing is unchanged at about $150 US.
The Nike Free X Metcon 2 is a great cross training shoe – that works well for running too. It’s part of Nike’s “Free” line – and that means that it is meant to replicate the barefoot running experience. Let’s take a look at how it does that – while we show you the new styles. Like the Texas Longhorns? Then “Black/Iron Grey/White/Desert Orange” is your style. Here’s the removable insole – you can see the Texas longhorns steer. It looks pretty good – but few people will see that – as it is inside the shoe. Fan of the NFL? Here’s the Pittsburgh Steelers version of the Free x Metcon 2. The yellow and black are a unique look for this shoe. Here’s the “top down” view. We also have the Georgia Bulldogs. Bad news for Ohio State fans – that colorway sold out within days – so these are no longer available. That’s a hint too that these are all limited runs – if you like them – get them now. Fans of Tom Brady and crew will [Read more …]
Last week, Nike launched some new colorways (color combinations) for their Nike Metcon Sport shoe. The Nike Metcon Sport is part of the “Metcon” line of shoes – that’s code for “CrossFit”. These shoes are cross trainers – and they let you lift, run, jump, and more. What’s the new styles? Here we have String/Dark Smoke Grey/Pale Ivory. Nike says “STABILITY TO LIFT HEAVY AND CUT HARD.” The other great thing about these shoes is that they are only $100 or so. That’s much cheaper than the other shoes in the line. Another great colorway that has just debuted is Black/Thunderstorm/White/Total Orange. Photo Credits Some photos are property of Nike, Inc.
