Nike Zoom Metcon Turbo 2 Review – Overview
The Nike Zoom Metcon Turbo 2 adds electrifying speed to your workout. Combining stability and responsiveness, this lightweight package helps you move faster during circuit training, high-intensity intervals on the treadmill, and a cardio workout. Every detail of the shoe, from the Zoom Air cushioning underfoot to the rope wrap at the instep, is simplified to minimize weight while maximizing function and durability.
The materials used are lighter and stronger for a quick and powerful shoe. The Zoom Air and the Nike React foam are lightweight and responsive for quick, repetitive exercises like box jumps and double-unders. The shoe can handle abrasion with its instep on the upper that is slim and lightweight but still rigid, while the mesh on the outer part keeps it breathable during high-heat sets.
The rope wrap and handstand heel clip are revamped and are also pared down to shave off ounces. They give you the same function and durability without the weight. The heel is wide and flat to keep you stable, while the grippy rubber sole is flexible so your foot can bend comfortably.

This shoe is much like last year’s Nike React Metcon Turbo – the big change is there’s a Zoom Air capsule up front to provide additional cushion. It’s a solid cross training shoe , even if it looks a bit odd.
