What’s special about the Reebok Nano 9?
For starters, it’s the only shoe that can wear the CrossFit name.
You can see it’s right on the heel.

This is the 9th iteration of the Nano – and that means they have come pretty close to perfecting this design.
It has a relatively low-profile 4mm heel to toe drop.

That means your heel is about 4 mm higher than your toes.

This means it is a very versatile shoe- and you can use it for running, jumping, lifting, climbing, and more.
(In other words, it’s perfect for the CrossFit WOD.)
The upper is made from Reebok’s FlexWeave material – it’s tough but breathable because it is woven into a figure 8 pattern (there’s a breathable mesh underneath.)

CrossFit athletes need to be able to climb ropes – and the Reebok Nano 9 has the toughness and grip you need for that too.
The outsole is flat and grippy – perfect for maximum traction in the gym or on the lifting platform.
There’s a thickly padded tongue to prevent lace bite.

The collar on this shoe rises up high around your heel for a secure locked-in fit.

The Reebok Nano 9 is also an exceptionally wide shoe – especially in the toebox.

Let’s review the best athletic sock for CrossFit. This is going to be a review of athletic and running socks. But, before you hit the back button – give it a chance. I’m the person that always bought cheap socks. Whatever was cheap and available in a 12 pack – and usually $20 or less. But after I started testing real athletic socks intensively – I found out all the benefits of a comfortable, performance sock that fits right. So ditch those Costco socks and look at these options for the CrossFit WOD (or any other workout, really): Let’s review these socks! Athletic Sock vs Running Sock – Is there a Difference? First of all, let’s define what an athletic sock is? And, is this the same thing as a running sock? There is some overlap, and the line between the two is blurry, for sure. Let’s look at Wall Balls. We’re going to provide an overview of several different products, available from several manufacturers. The wall ball exercise is a functional, full-body movement that you can incorporate into any cardiovascular or strength workout. This exercise is commonly done as part of a CrossFit workout. But because of the outcomes it provides, this exercise is now an accessory in most fitness facilities. Here are some of the wall balls we are going to look at. We’re also going to look at Wall Ball accessories – like targets, and more. Wall Balls – Overview Wall balls are different from medicine balls and slam balls. Wall balls are generally made of vinyl, with a padded outer layer that makes them easier to catch. They come in a diversity of weights, varying from about 6 to 20 pounds. Wall ball exercises will test your cardio beyond what you’re presumably used to, and you’ll gain some serious shoulder and leg strength. The whole body takes a whipping with wall balls. The squat part of the exercise concentrates on the lower-body [Read more …]
