Nike has just released an exciting new version of the Nike Metcon 5 cross training shoe – one of the best trainers for CrossFit of 2020. Here’s the brand new Nike Metcon 5 AMP with a Fade Away Upper (Also called the Nike Metcon 5 AMP WETEST (We Test.) What’s a Fade Away Upper? It’s easiest if we show you… Ok, so that’s pretty cool. The Fade Away Upper reveals underlying colors as you train over time. Nike has an unsurpassed sense of style when it comes to good looking training shoes. Here’s a close-up look at Nike’s most stable and durable Metcon shoe yet – The Nike Metcon 5 for Women. This is Black/White/University Red/Metallic Gold (Style: AO2982-076), and it looks sweet. Not only is it stable and durable, it is also the most tuned Metcon training shoe yet. What do you get with the Nike Metcon 5 for women? It has specific stability for heavy lifting (squats, deadlifts, and Oly lifting). But it also has traction made for speed, and durability where you need it – thanks to it’s “zoned” durability. There’s also a small drop-in wedge called a “Hyperlift”. This insert (which is also compatible with all prior versions of the Metcon) will give you an additional 6mm of heel to toe drop (for a total of 10mm in the women’s shoe.) What are these good for? Think heel raise for easier squats, wall balls, and pistols. This is your secret weapon for weight lifting and high-impact training. Reebok has launched two new colorways of their potent training shoe – the Reebok Nano 9. The new colorways are BLACK / FLUID BLUE / LEMON GLOW for women … and BLACK / WHITE / VIVID ORANGE for men. What’s special about the Reebok Nano 9? For starters, it’s the only shoe that can wear the CrossFit name. You can see it’s right on the heel. This is the 9th iteration of the Nano – and that means they have come pretty close to perfecting this design. It has a relatively low-profile 4mm heel to toe drop. That means your heel is about 4 mm higher than your toes. This means it is a very versatile shoe- and you can use it for running, jumping, lifting, climbing, and more. We love the Nike Metcon 5. This is the shoe that does it all. Great for lifting weights, sprinting, box jumps, or climbing rope – and everything else in the CrossFit WOD. The other thing we really love about it – it’s the best looking CrossFit shoe for the year 2020. Nike’s sense of style is unmistakable. They know how to make a good looking shoe. Nike recently release the Nike React Metcon – this shoe takes all the great WOD features of the Metcon 5 and combines them with a FlyKnit upper, quick close lacing system, and Nike’s React foam in the midsole. And now they have launched an AMP colorway. What’s the AMP line? Well, it’s a little more expensive, but you get some wild, out-there designs and patterns. And these will even glow in the dark. Let’s have a look. The Nike React Metcon AMP has all the same stability and traction from the Metcon 5. But the real improvement here is the React foam – this is Nike’s most comfortable cushioning. It is soft and springy and provides reactive energy return With FlyKnit providing a breathable upper, this is a winning combination for CrossFit enthusiasts or anyone else into functional fitness training.
