Soon, you’ll be able to order this interesting new colorway of the Nike Metcon 5.
What is it called? This is the David vs Goliath edition (or Black/Purple Nebula/White/Bright Cactus.)
Check out the cool print and design on that upper.
That’s a breathable mesh with 3D haptic print deposited on top.
Not only is it tough – but it gives Nike a canvas for unique and expressive designs.
Here’s the Nike Metcon 5 David and Goliath edition. These probably aren’t going to be made in very large numbers – so if you like them , we recommend you order while you can still find them in your size.
This is a limited edition – so you better grab these in your size, while you can.
Let’s take a closer look.
Another view of that great artistic upper, but you’ll also see Nike’s FlyWire integrated with the traditional laces. When you tighten the laces the FlyWire tightens up too – and it runs throughout the body of shoe. And that means a locked-in fit and feel that can’t be beat.
From the top, you’ll see the streamlined outline of the Nike Metcon 5. These shoes are made for the CrossFit WOD, functional fitness, and just about anything else you do in the gym – or in the field.
Let’s take a close up look at that gorgeous design. You can see that Nike has put the mesh upper to good use. On the David vs Goliath shoe it’s like a canvas – and the artist has created a masterpiece.
See the TPU knife edge on the heel? That means minimal wall drag for Hand Stand Push Ups (HSPUs)
This is a good side view of the Nike Metcon 5. You can see the rope wrap – that’s where the white outsole wraps up around the sides of the shoe. The outsole is super tough and durable so it will last a long time – and the medial rope grip section ensures you can rope climb without tearing up your shoes.
Here’s the heel view of this new colorway of the Nike Metcon 5. See the purple TPU? It’s a type of firm plastic – and it’s got a knife edge so that there is minimal wall drag when performing Hand Stand Push Ups (HSPUs.)
This is the sole of the Nike Metcon 5. At first glance, there’s not much to see – but first looks are deceiving. It’s made from two types of rubber – sticky up front for maximum grip and traction, and firmer more durable rubber in the heel for a super-stable foundation. There’s also flex grooves in the forefoot for jumps and more.
