A Men’s Size 11 (my normal size) fits me perfectly. The length is perfect, and so is the width. This shoe fits tightly, but that’s by design. (My only real complaint is that I wish the shoe had a pull tab on the heel – that would make it easier to put on and take off.) I’d recommend you order these in your normal shoe size. Here’s the new Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit running shoe in the True White/White/Pure Platinum/Photo Blue colorway. What’s the big draw about this shoe? Nike claims it can reduce the occurrence of injuries: “In testing, the Nike React Infinity Run reduced injuries by 52% compared to the Nike Air Zoom Structure 22. The Nike React Infinity Run reduced running injuries by 52% compared to the Nike Air Zoom Structure 22 in a study of 226 men and women during a 12 week run training program (injury = missing 3 or more consecutive runs due to running related pain). Our study found that 30.3% of Nike Air Zoom Structure 22 runners experienced an injury but only 14.5% of Nike React Infinity Run runners experienced an injury.” Where can you get it? Nike has released a new colorway of the Nike React Metcon Cross Trainer for Men : Seaweed/Green Spark/Vintage Green. Ok, it’s technically style: BQ6044-323. But, no matter what you call it, we think it looks pretty slick. What’s the big benefit of the Nike React Metcon shoe? It’s right in the name – REACT. As in React foam cushioning – you know – Nike’s groundbreaking energy return foam cushioning system. That’s right – every footstep gives you energy back with React foam. But you’ll notice this is a Cross Trainer shoe. Unlike the Nike React running shoes there’s a lot less React foam. That’s because React foam is springy and bouncing – but it is not very tough. And Cross Trainers for the CrossFit WOD, Functional Fitness, and HIIT training need to be built like a tank. So in this shoe the React foam is in the drop-in midsole – which you can’t see – because it is inside the shoe. From the tough FlexWeave upper, to the stable heel, to the generous toebox – it’s an all around fantastic cross trainer. Now that the Nike Metcon 6 is out – the Metcon 5 is getting hard to find – but Rogue Fitness still has the Metcon 5 for sale. We love the Nike Metcon 5. This is the shoe that does it all. Great for lifting weights, sprinting, box jumps, or climbing rope – and everything else in the CrossFit WOD. The other thing we really love about it – it’s the best looking CrossFit shoe for the year 2020. Nike’s sense of style is unmistakable. They know how to make a good looking shoe. Nike has released a new colorway of their Nike React Metcon shoe: Light Armory Blue/Thunderstorm/Black. Here it is: What’s the key feature of the Nike React Metcon? It’s right in the name – React foam cushioning. React foam is a Nike invention that gives you energy return with every footstep. Originally created for their running shoe line, it’s got great carryover to a cross trainer like the Nike React Metcon. That’s because the WOD (Workout of the Day) in CrossFit can require LOTS of different things. Like running, sprinting, jumping, skipping rope – and much more. And for those high impact activities, you need a foam cushion system that is more forgiving than what is in the Nike Metcon 5 and other shoes. That’s where the Nike React Metcon shines. Nike React Metcon – New Color Combo for Men 2020 – Light Blue

Nike’s React Metcon shoe is the first Metcon shoe to incorporate their proprietary React foam cushioning system. Why? For high-impact comfort AND stability. The Nike React Metcon takes a lot of inspiration from the Nike Metcon 5. You’ll notice the outsole and rope wrap are identical. And this means you get the stability and traction from the training original. Buy you also get Nike’s most comfortable cushioning – React foam. With this, you can tackle any high-impact (box jumps, sprints, jump rope, etc.) and lifting workouts with a light, breathable upper and durable grip to keep you going. Here’s the outsole. See the similarities? Where’s the React foam? It’s on the inside, in the midsole. You’ll notice from the top view that this shoe takes the same basic shape as the Metcon 5. The upper is made from FlyKnit – which is Nike’s knit yarn-like material. Just be aware that it is a double layer FlyKnit -so it is not quite as lightweight as the running shoes that use FlyKnit. INOV-8 has launched a new CrossFit training shoe in their F-Lite line. The INOV-8 F-LITE G 300 is available now. If you are accustomed to running shoes, you may find the features of a good cross trainer a bit baffling. But, we’ll explain the key differences here. Let’s take a look at some of the features. This shoe has a 6 millimeter heel to toe drop. That’s an indicator of the amount of heel raise that the shoe has. It’s not unusual for a running shoe to have a 10 mm heel to toe drop. But for the CrossFit WOD we need something more versatile. This shoe has LESS drop than a typical running shoe, and a LOT LESS drop than a “lifter” – which is what we call Oly lifting shoes. Heel raise is good for some things – but a hindrance for others. Since we’ll be lifting, jumping, running, jumping rope, etc. we need a moderate drop for best results.
