The Nike Romaleos family is known for two things – strength and stability. These are Olympic weightlifting shoes that are heavier, with a flat sole and midfoot straps for a tight fit. They enable you to push into the floor with less effort, producing more power throughout a lift.

Nike Romaleos 4 SE – Overview

The upper of Nike Romaleos 4 SE is made mainly from a woven type of fabric that is solid but flexible. The material is a bit hard and needs a little time to break-in, and when it does, it becomes comfortable. The toebox of the shoe arches nicely for split jerks without curving easily. The Nike Romaleos 4 SE highlights a broad, flat base and a supportive foundation. The platform has a wavy design, and the TPU heel and Powerbridge at the bottom have a natural look.

The outsole has seven tips that further contact the area with the ground and enhance lateral stability. The additional support to plant your feet into the ground because of the extended contact points is revolutionary. The outsole is also longer than the shoe’s actual body and forms an extra layer of stability at the heel area.

A solid Nylon ripstop fabric covers the ankle collar but is still comfortable because of the heavy cushioning inside the ankle collar. More cushioning is found in the Achilles area. The tongue structure is solid, well-built, and comfortable. The Nike Romaleos 4 SE has two straps to fasten the ankle and tighten the metatarsal area. It also has an extended heel counter that is inserted into the TPU heel.
