It is a sophisticated fan bike packed with unique innovations and built for severe home gym owners. Let’s find out why CrossFit chose Echo Bike as its Official Bike for the following competitions.

Here are some of the styles we are going to look at:

Rogue Echo Bike (Black) Rogue Echo Bike - find out why this is the best air bike you can buy. Rock solid, tough, and challenging. People love and HATE these Echo bikes all at the same time!
Assault AirBike (Black) Assault AirBike - still a good workout tool, but if you are going to prep for CrossFit competition it's probably time to upgrade to an Echo Bike.

Rogue Echo Bike – Overview

The Rogue Echo Bike blends heavy-duty steel, precision engineering, and handy customization to produce a more powerful, sturdier fan bike. The Echo Bike is not the quivering kind of exercise bike – it has an augmented steel structure that gives it the rigor and balance to eliminate wobbles and bumps during even max output bursts. The fan has a steady response that offers nothing but a consistent and smooth-riding adventure. Rubber leveling feet under each base tube was placed for added stability and to help level the bike stick even on rough surfaces.

The Echo Bike is made with various durable steel tubing steel finished in a texture black powder coat. The bike is also provided with a steel step plate and the knurled 4.5″ long spinning footpegs and metal pedals. It has an adjustable padded seat that hooks into eight various height settings and five front-to-back settings, while the 1.5” diameter rubber grip handles are welded straight to the bike’s arms for added toughness.

Assault AirBike

The Assault AirBike is furnished with a thick-gauge chro-moly steel frame, with at least 1-2 sealed cartridge bearings in every single pivot — from the flywheels and pedals to the bottom bracket and linkage arms. The Assault AirBike revamps and recreates almost every element of the traditional fan bike, from the frame structure to the pedals, crank, monitor, and more. It has 20 bearings in all, unmatched by most fitness bikes in the industry.

When compared with the Echo Bike, the Echo Bike has wider feet and has a heavier weight (double than the Assault AirBike), making it more stable than the Assault AirBike. The Echo Bike uses a belt-drive, which is more responsive and lasts longer. Once you start stepping on the pedal, it starts going right away, and when you stop, it stops right away. The Assault AirBike, on the other hand, uses a chain drive that requires tensioning, oiling, and maintenance.

Rogue Echo Bike Review – In Summary

That’s our look at the Rogue Echo Bike – now the official air bike of CrossFit – and for good reason.

Both the Echo Bike and Assault AirBike are powerful bikes with excellent quality. But what differs one from the other is that the Echo Bike is larger, stronger, more stable, and more reliable than the Assault AirBike, and with that comes a higher price. The former uses self-tensioning belts, while the latter uses chain drive. The Assault AirBike is still a great bike, but not as great as the Echo.
