It’s here – this is the Nike Metcon 7 – and specifically the Mat Fraser PE (Personal Edition). There’s a lot of differences from the Metcon 6 – read on to find out more.

Mat Fraser, the first and only person to win five CrossFit Games titles, now comes with his fourth Personal Edition release of Metcon 7. It is limited in quantities, though, so make sure to sign up now to be informed of the release and get the chance to get your elusive pair in the drop.

Nike Metcon 7 Mat Fraser – Overview

The Nike Metcon 7 MF is the gold standard for weight training and is worn by the “Fittest Man on Earth” and 5X CrossFit Games Champion, Mat Fraser. This version is more stable and more durable than the previous ones. It has a wide, flat heel that becomes more stable with an inner plate dispersing weight from side to side. It also flexes to make it easy for cardio intervals.

What’s new with the Metcon 7 is the React foam that elevates comfort to keep you ready for high-intensity cardio. There is a tab that confines your laces, so you can ignore them and focus on your next PR instead. The golden cracks signify the Japanese technique Kintsugi, and are reflected on the Nike swoosh.

The rubber is reconstructed to envelop your arch for full grip during rope climbs, while the rubber tread delivers traction from the training room floor to the street. Metcon 7 MF has a lightweight mesh with textured overlays in high-wear areas to keep your foot cool without losing its durability. The handstand clip at the heel reduces drag during wall exercises, and the Flywire cables harmonize with the laces to tighten your midfoot.
