Sandbag training has plenty of benefits when you incorporate it into your workout. Sandbag training improves stability, grip strength, and functional fitness. Sandbags 2.0 – Overview
While competitors rubberize or fold webbing onto the handles, GORUCK reinforces neoprene padding into every handle they build. This is the reason why GORUCK handles are the best on the market. Reinforcing neoprene padding into the handle provides a more secure and comfortable grip so you can hold them longer. GORUCK prioritizes the handle construction greatly because they believe they are the most significant attribute of the sandbags because you hold them with your hands all the time.
The filler bags have a triple locking velcro closure system, an enhancement from the previous versions with only a double closure. It utilizes an interlocking system of fabric and seams to make sure that the sand does not escape. The seams are now sewn up the middle with a French-style seam with 3x the stitches as the earlier filler bags. The seam up the middle also relieves any earlier pressure points. The handles have box stitch reinforcement, and every seam has double pass stitching that requires two passes with a sewing machine.
From 34 bartack stitching, GORUCK upgraded it to 80 on the 40LB and 88 on the 60LB. GORUCK made these improvements on top of the industry’s best Scars Lifetime Guarantee.
