This version of the AMP shoe eschews the perforated upper of the regular Metcon 6 – but has a pretty slick substitute instead.

Metcon 6 AMP – Overview
What’s new in the Nike Metcon 6 AMP?
The Metcon 6 has a total redesign upper that boosts airflow and breathability which makes it 18% more breathable than its older sibling.
For this version of the AMP shoe, they’ve used a new material for the upper.
It’s lightweight but tough, and comfortable.
For a protected feel, the foam cushioning under the heel was adjusted to be sturdier. It is more flexible in the forefoot to cater to high-impact movements. It also has a strong screen print which boosts the mesh without sacrificing breathability.
Its low, flat and wide heel forms a steady base for weighted exercises. To provide the traction you need under foot and during rope climbs, a rubber tread on the outsole and sides is used.
As with the regular Metcon 6, it comes with the removable Hyperlift insert that brings heel height adjustability.
Is this shoe tough? Yes – the haptic topcoat handles abrasions from rope, asphalt, and turf. With its dual-density drop-in midsole, users achieve stability through a more progressive transition, and only as needed.
The tread pattern creates smooth contact with the ground providing maximum grip and stability.
Even the laces look good on this shoe!
Nike Metcon 6 Versus Nike Metcon 6 AMP
In comparison the regular Metcon 6 is a dull, flat finish.
There’s a Flyease version of the regular shoe too. This helps adaptive athletes because once the laces are tied, you can put these on or take them off easily.
(No hands needed.)
Functionally, both shoes are equivalent – although I’m guessing the regular has better breathability.
Metcon 6 AMP Review – In Summary
The functional Nike Metcon 6 AMP that comes with a lightweight mesh upper will definitely help you kill your workout.
As an added bonus the removable Hyperlift inserts let you personalize your heel angle for more speed and power.
