Need to work out in a constrained space? A Rackable Short Barbell from Rogue may help.

Not everyone has a huge home gym or garage to stock up all the equipment for training. Squat racks with Olympic barbells can take up so much space, but a barbell is necessary if you are a lifter or involved in weight training.

Here are some of the styles we are going to look at:

Rackable Short Barbells from Rogue – Overview

Good thing short barbells were invented, making them perfect for athletes with limited space. Short barbells are shorter than standard Olympic bars. The size of the standard Olympic bar is 220cm with around 52″ shaft length between collars. Short barbells are less frightening and are an upgrade from dumbbells. They are also ideal in a low-height basement and need less room as you move around.

Rackable Short barbells from Rogue enable you to rack the bar on any standard rack and complete movements that haven’t traditionally been possible with short bars, such as the snatch and overhead squats with its standard gap of 51.5”. Short barbells are female-friendly as they are also lighter and easier to rack.

C-68S Bar – Women’s Rackable Short Bar

The Rogue C-68S Bar is a 25mm women’s version of the C-70S Short Bar. Although shorter than Bella, nothing in features and functionality was sacrificed. It is one of the most potent barbells Rogue has ever created, gaining an F-Scale rating of F-12R in durability testing. The “S” in the bar’s name stands for “Snatch,” as the bar was formed to empower athletes to complete Olympic barbell movements in the tight confines of the CrossFit Games floor.

The C-68S Bar highlights dual knurl marks, quality bronze bushings, and a 190,000 PSI tensile strength shaft. Each steel shaft is employed with Rogue’s exclusive Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) process, giving it excellent fatigue resistance. There is reduced stress on the shaft with each drop instead of a bar with standard-length sleeves because of the shorter lever arm of the shorter sleeves. These blended elements help give the bar its excellent F-12R durability rating and guarantee that it should last even longer than standard-length bars in high-volume gyms.

C-70S Bar – Men’s Rackable Short Bar

Unique and versatile, the C-70S Bar – Men’s Rackable Short Bar has a sturdy design that makes it both a compact version of Rogue’s flagship 20KG Ohio Bar and a uniquely rackable version of their original C-70 short bar. It has a Black Cerakote shaft finish and bright zinc sleeves. The 72” shaft allows approximately 15” of space-saving efficiency as opposed to a full-length bar. This opens up lanes for more athletes to train in the same area at the same time.

The C-70S is Rogue’s first barbell to complete an F-Scale rating of F-16R in durability testing, which means that it will last even longer than standard-length bars in high-volume gyms. It highlights dual knurl marks (with our signature Ohio knurl), quality composite bushings, and a 28.5mm diameter, 190,000 PSI steel shaft. It also allows complete Olympic lifting movements in cramped home gyms, including proper hand placement on the snatch grip. The sleeves are spaced 52” apart, which is the same as a full-length barbell.

Rogue C-70 Bar – Non-Rackable Short Bar

The Rogue C-70 Bar is intended for competition use in the CrossFit Games and is a shorty 35LB version of the Ohio Bar. It has a 69″ overall length that enables you and other athletes to be spaced closer together. This bar has knurl marks for both Olympic and Powerlifting grips, and the distance between collars is 43″ versus the standard 52″. This means it cannot be racked on a standard power rack or squat stand.

The C-70 Bar highlights the same 28.5MM diameter, American 190,000 PSI steel, bronze bushings, and dual knurl marks as the standard-length Ohio Bar, and is backed by Rogue’s Standard Lifetime Warranty against bending. This barbell was the short barbell that carried 400+ pound deadlifts during the Men’s Finals.
