Guess what just hit the Boneyard – a big selection of Olympic Barbell Collars.
Let’s take a look at Boneyard Collars for Olympic Weightlifting Barbells.
A barbell collar is a vital part of weightlifting and is placed on barbells to keep the weight disk from becoming too wobbly and to avoid detaching from the bar while in use. The collar is fastened on the outer side of the disk and can be secured into place by some means, usually by a spring, bolt, or clamp-type mechanism.
The Boneyard is where Rogue puts items that aren’t quite cosmetically perfect – at a decent discount.
(And they are fully functional, of course!)
Here are some of the styles we are going to look at:
Boneyard Collars for Olympic Weightlifting Barbells – Overview
Weight lifting is an elaborate and complicated science. The tiniest movement of the weight disc can affect your stability and balance and your ability to raise the weight. The barbell collar helps by keeping the weight from shaking or slipping around on the bar, helping you to remain steady. It is also necessary for safety purposes. A loosened weight can make the weight move on the bar and make you fall.
This can result in a severe injury and may sprain you. The role of the barbell collar is to avoid this and to keep the weights in place. Rogue has barbell collars sold at a lower price. These collars have inconsistent machining of the lettering and outside face but are functional and in new condition. They still have the same quality as their regular collars but just have mismatched colors or no finish at all.
