Nike Trail Running Shoes for 2021 – Overview
When running on rocky, muddy, and rugged surfaces, a trail shoe will deliver protective features. It has a bulky design that helps to keep your ankles solid, your feet guarded, and your body supported from falls on trails. There are some instances when trail running shoes can also be used on the pavement, especially when running in snowy or rainy conditions.
The traction of trail running shoes will be a big help to avoid slipping and getting injured. They are also more water-resistant and can keep your feet from getting wet. Features like cushioning, fit and comfort, heel-to-toe-drop, and shoe type should be considered when choosing trail running shoes. Take a look at some of Nike’s Trail Running Shoes for your deliberation.
Nike Air Zoom Terra Kiger 7
Compared to earlier versions, the Nike Air Zoom Terra Kiger 7 has gotten heavier and thicker. The forefoot has more cushioning with approximately 3 mm of extra thickness, and the outsole rubber has even more coverage. It has improved coverage and grip and more consistent rigidity. The upper of Kiger 7 is comfortable with the right mixture of breathability and durability. Though it has plenty of cushioning, the midsole is still responsive and has an excellent ground feel.
A Dynamic Fit System through the midfoot helps hold and support your foot as you run through rocky trails. Lugs are now larger but of the same height and fore-aft length as the earlier version. The tiny outsole cutouts are removed to reduce the risk of piercing the air pod. It has a slim, cushioned collar that renders soft comfort and a modernized look. The rock plate at the heel helps protect your foot on rocky terrain, while the padded tongue helps ease pressure caused by foot swelling over long-distance runs.
Nike Pegasus Trail 3
The Nike Pegasus Trail 3 is very comfortable, provided by the cushioned React foam midsole and soft insole. The interior materials of the upper are superior and smooth and adjust to your feet thoroughly. The upper mesh is very soft and dual-layered so that the inside of the shoes is snug and comfy to your feet. The front bumper of Pegasus trail 3 is very efficient at shielding your toes should you unexpectedly hit rocks or tree roots.
The React midsole has a soft ride when running hard buffed trails, road sections, and there is around a 10mm drop from heel to toe, which sets you in a strong forward-leaning position, ideal for those who run fast on flat and downhill areas. The outsole of Pegasus Trail 3 has lugs that are reasonably deep and more dynamic in dealing with fast downhills and digging into the trails while ascending hills. It has a shockwave-like pattern that copies mountain biking tires. It has a traditional collar and tongue that brings the timeless look of Pegasus to the trail.
Nike Wildhorse 7
The upper and the open mesh design are the principal update of the Nike Wildhorse 7. This update is made to improve breathability, because when running longer mileages, enhanced breathability can unquestionably make a difference. The collar around the ankle perfectly holds the foot, and the toe box is spacious enough, while the tongue highlights segmented padding, which helps reduce lace pressure.
The midsole is slightly softer than the earlier version and provides a flexible but protective and light response underfoot when running. The Wildhorse 7 has a full rubber outsole, and the tread glues and digs vigorously to give traction on softer terrain. It features an anti-clog coating across the outsole that helps keep dirt out.
