GR-1 Heritage Pre-Order – Overview

When it comes to quality, the GR-1 is undoubtedly made of caliber materials such as the Army Duck Waxed Canvas with Bombproof Laptop Compartment next to your back and even backed up with Scars Lifetime Guarantee. The duck canvas is robust and has a waxing process proven over the last 170 years. The ruck is also highly water-resistant. The straps are tough but are also the most comfortable straps out there. The straps and the top handle are extra padded, so you can carry heavier loads more efficiently. Even the back panel is fully padded and is somewhat molded for breathability. The YKK zippers are made from 550 cords with silent, glove-friendly zipper pulls.

There are two zippered pockets on the front panel of the main compartment. The first is at the top, which is a rigid 1/3 pocket, while the lower is a 2/3 mesh pocket. The zippers are color-coordinated with paracord. The ruck opens flat, so it is easier to organize and pack with a 2″x3″ Patch panel on the front that has a removable leather patch included. There is also a removable, rigid plastic frame sheet that supports the laptop compartment and enables you to bring more weight conveniently.

There are also three rows of internal MOLLE webbing that allow you to customize GR1 according to your preference. The rucksack is optimized for hydration and you can use it by simply by clipping your hydration bladder into the interior D-Ring with a carabiner and supply the hose through the exit port under the top handle of the ruck. It has the perfect travel size and comes in 21L and 26L.
