Let’s take a look at GORUCK Ballistic Trainers in Black and Camo.
GORUCK is known for manufacturing durable gear, and many can attest to this testament. They are consistent with their military roots and offer a definite functional style with a lifetime guarantee. The Ballistic Trainer is an excellent option if you are looking for a shoe that does everything and can handle workouts from Crossfit to rucking and traveling.
Here are some of the styles we are going to look at:
GORUCK Ballistic Trainers in Black and Camo – Overview
Over time and with distance doing the work, your feet will swell. But GORUCK Ballistic Trainers has an ample forefoot area that allows your toes to breathe and to move. This added space, along with the breathable and flexible knit, lessens the friction that can happen if your feet scrape on the insides of your shoe. A supplementary, thinner insert is also incorporated if you prefer less arch support and want to feel closer to the ground. Classic powerlifting shoes have a 20mm+ heel-to-toe drop, other functional fitness trainers are 4mm, and running shoes have 10-12mm. The GORUCK Ballistic Trainers have an 8mm heel-to-toe drop that builds the greatest biomechanical advantage when lifting heavy loads or moving more than 400 meters.
There’s a high rebound, high flexibility EVA in the forefoot that provides cushion and support for explosive movement, and a firm, stable EVA in the heel that affords a stationary platform to keep you grounded when lifting or squatting. These two different types of EVA joined together in a smooth gradient from forefoot to heel. There are three various rubber compounds form a single, seamless rubber outsole. The forefoot rubber is devised for improved grip while the heel area is thick and won’t wear down after miles of running or rucking. The midfoot is devised from a rock climbing compound and hardened for extraordinary abrasion resistance.
Let’s talk about the forefoot of the shoes. It is created using an engineered warp-knit technology that affords a seamless one-piece vamp and toe cap while allowing areas of reinforced strength and other areas of breathability and flexibility. The lace area, midfoot, and heel is made from two panels of 1680D CORDURA® Ballistic Nylon — offering the first-class Special Forces grade abrasion resistance against the stresses of rope climbs. This 1680D CORDURA® also affords superior midfoot and heel support during vigorous movements. The anatomically molded TPU heel counter anchors your foot and secures your heel when you’re doing active, load-bearing workouts.
