Let’s take a look at the Women’s UA HOVR Machina 2 Running Shoes.
The Women’s UA HOVR Machina 2 is the upgraded version of the original Machina. This shoe is UA’s first plated shoe and is intended to be a high-end trainer or entry-level racing shoe. The Machina 2 is the softer version with a better upper, a Pebax® propulsion plate, and a real-time coach to help you run better when connected to UA MapMyRun™.
Here are some of the styles we are going to look at:
Women’s UA HOVR Machina 2 Running Shoes – Overview
The upper is the part of the shoes that went through the most significant transformation. It has a Rush lining to its interior that improves blood flow and keeps your muscles feeling better as you run in miles. The upper has an Ultralight 3D spacer mesh for enhanced breathability and ultimate speed. As your body releases energy, the mineral-infused UA RUSH™ lining absorbs and reflects it back, increasing endurance.
The midsole of the shoes uses HOVR that was made softer than the earlier version. They have an 8mm drop and still use the PEBAX propulsion plate to balance the softer midsole. The Sprint spike-inspired Pebax speed plate renders improved return and more powerful push-offs. This system provides a solid feel while running without being painfully stiff.
The Machina 2 outsole utilizes blown rubber on the forefoot and carbon rubber in high-wear zones on the heel to deliver greater traction and durability. The external heel counter presents added stability and a locked-in feel. When you connect it to MAPMYRUN™, it will track and analyze your running metrics to help make you a better runner.
