Nike React cushioning foam now runs the full length of the midsole.
A horseshoe-shaped pod of firmer foam is added in the heel for stability. A higher cuff keeps debris out of the shoe, but the material remains soft and flexible.
The outsole lugs are more aggressive – and more durable. This means better traction and less possibility of clogging with mud on the trail.
A modified lacing system incorporates a "lateral fitband" to ensure your feet stay locked-in.
