GORUCK has a new product – the Task Force Dagger Jacket.
GORUCK honors the legacy and the effort of the teams from the 5th Special Forces Group deployed to the mountainous region of Afghanistan, along the Hindu Kush thirty-nine days after 9/11. Afghanistan gets bitterly cold to the bone when the wind blows and when the rain comes down. To keep them warm and protected, the quickest solution was to buy fleece jackets that were already on the shelf at most sporting goods stores across America.
Here are some of the styles we are going to look at:
Task Force Dagger Jacket – Overview
Using the same Polartec 300 weight fleece, the Task Force Dagger Jacket gives tribute to the jackets worn by those Special Forces units 20 years ago. Polartec® revolutionized the game in 1981 for cold-weather performance apparel with the discovery of synthetic polar fleece. Up until today, it remains the industry standard for performance outerwear with its greater resiliency, lightweight warmth, and fast dry times.
Premium Polyester yarns are used for their hydrophobic properties to resist moisture and speed dry times. This is the reason why Polartec® synthetic fleece is still the most reliable and versatile fabric around. This dagger jacket is made in the USA with a durable, rugged exterior and soft interior that won’t pill underneath a ruck. The lofted structures produce thermal air pockets to preserve warmth and still provide optimal breathability.
The off-shoulder seams have a ToughDry Panel for added durability under ruck straps and provide warmth without weight. It has a subtle GORUCK spearhead on the chest and comes with GORUCK’s spearhead on the chest. Task Force DaggerJacket is highly breathable and available in Black/Green and Black. It has two zippered front pockets and a zippered chest pocket with a rigid dry panel on the elbows.
