GORUCK is on fire with boot options – here’s the newest – the Heritage Jump Boots.

The original Jump boots were first used by the 82nd Airborne Division and were distinct because of their solid toe caps and calf-length lacing. This gave GORUCK an inspiration for their boots but to put their signature in it, they use the supportive MACV-1 platform paired with the best materials, including the most rigid leather. The leather is from Rostaing Tannery, established in 1789 and family-owned since its origin. It is relatively small, exclusive, and only provides the highest quality and unparalleled leathers.

Here’s some of the styles we are going to look at:

Heritage Jump Boots – Overview

The dual-compound rubber outsole of the Heritage Jump Boots offers functional performance in any environment, even on wet and muddy terrain, with its augmented traction. The outsole also covers the toes for understated protection against the hostile ground or when doing push-ups. The forefoot rubber is developed for improved grip, while the heel area is formed for abrasion resistance and enhanced durability. The leather used on the Heritage Jump boot is one of the highest quality available. It is Aniline Tanned (soft and supple) using premium full-grain leather and sourced from only select sources in Europe and Australia.

It was selected for its toughness (Full Grain), its beauty (Aniline tanning), and suppleness (broken in from day 1). The boots use an old-fashioned technology that keeps sand and debris out and resists water and moisture, keeping you dry every step. Using any shoe for a long time during any activity makes your feet swell. But with Heritage Jump Boots, your feet are provided with a generous forefoot area that allows them to breathe and lessens friction when your feet brush against the insides of your boot. The EVA midsole is lightweight, giving you the comfort to wear the boot for a more extended period.

GORUCK removed the spacer mesh on these boots, making them lighter and smoother. The Heritage Jump Boots also have the perfect heel-to-toe drop for rucking. The 13mm offset decreases the strain on your Achilles (and by proxy your ankle, knees, and hips) and allows a regular step in an unusual environment of asphalt and man-made surfaces. The boots have a supportive, injection-molded plastic heel counter that secures your heel as the suede leather prevents abrasion that causes hotspots and blisters. The custom insert utilizes a solid compression foam system that holds your whole foot from heel to toe, including contoured arch support.
